Aurel Martin. People say that old man Aurel learned this trade when he got old, after his 65th birthday. And he learned it out of boredom, because he had nothing to do during the wintertime. He worked with corn spikes, cut up in fine strips, and assembled with much skill and dexterity in different shapes. It took him two winters to create a replica of the Luncoiu de Jos church from corn spikes. Some of the miniatures he has created reached France and Germany and can now be seen on the halls of the mayor´s office, or at his home.
