The Valea Lunga game and hunting park. The park was colonized with several common deer brought from Austria and one roe deer brought from Charlottenburg (Sarlota), from the Banat region. Today, the Valea Lunga hunting park is administered by the “Muflonul” association from Brad.
The game park covers a surface of 600 ha. Access to the park is possible through the communal road that splits from the DN 76 Deva-Oradea national road, a short distance from the CFR Viaduct on the Deva-Brad, in the spot the Valea Mare brook merges with the Luncoiu Valley.
The park has a hunting house with lodging for 15 people, a ranger´s post, a stable for the horses, a shed to store corn that is distributed as food for the wild animals on the range. There are also several specific game facilities: a closed and heated observation deck that can house 2 persons, 14 open air observation platforms, 12 feeding places and 18 salt distribution spots. Moreover, the park has 18 km of tracks and 3 km of connecting tracks. Wild boar, deer and roe deer can be hunted here.
